Weavly is a small language for branching dialogue. Its compiler turns .wvl source into JSON, and this addon runs that JSON in your game.
Add the WeavlyEngine node to a scene and it drives the dialogue statement by statement: narration and character lines, options, match and random blocks, variables, gotos and custom commands. The engine has no UI of its own. Your game listens to its signals and renders however it likes, and every service behind it can be replaced.
Images, videos, characters and variables are indexed from configurable folders at startup, with optional regex grouping for random variants.
The addon also adds a .wvl main-screen editor, with syntax highlighting and one-click or on-save compilation.
The compiler is a separate Python install, needed to write dialogue but not to run it.
