The all-in-one multiplayer backend for Godot 4
Build and ship multiplayer games in Godot 4 without dedicated servers or networking expertise. GD-Sync is a fully managed multiplayer backend, relay network, and online services suite designed exclusively for Godot 4. Get your multiplayer game online in minutes with multiplayer lobbies, leaderboards, matchmaking, synchronization, accounts, and more, with no port forwarding, server hosting, or complex netcode to manage.
Key Features
- Global Multiplayer Lobbies & Matchmaking: Create public or private multiplayer lobbies with custom tags, matchmaking, and automatic host migration. Browse public lobbies, join a lobby by code, or lock a lobby down for friends only. Easily build lobby-based sessions for co-op, competitive, or social games, real-time or turn-based. [Docs]
- Multiplayer Property Synchronization: Effortlessly synchronize variables, nodes, and transforms across players with built-in interpolation for smooth multiplayer movement, responsive networking, and reliable state sync. [Docs]
- Cloud Storage & Player Accounts: Secure player authentication with email verification and persistent cross-device save files for multiplayer games and online experiences. [Docs]
- Global Leaderboards: Paginated, competitive leaderboard rankings tied directly to the player account system. Submit a score to a leaderboard, fetch a player's leaderboard rank, or delete a leaderboard entry with a single function call. Perfect for competitive multiplayer games and persistent online leaderboards. [Docs]
- Global Multiplayer Relay Infrastructure: High-performance traffic routing through our managed relay network. Connect multiplayer players P2P (peer-to-peer) or through the relay without NAT issues or port forwarding.
- Steam Multiplayer Integration: Seamlessly link with GodotSteam for "Join Friend" functionality through the Steam friends list, making it easy for players to connect to online multiplayer sessions. [Docs]
- In-Depth Analytics: Track player counts, data usage, engagement, and growth for your multiplayer game directly from your dashboard, with separate API keys to monitor multiple games independently.
Technical Highlights
- GDScript & C# Multiplayer Support: The entire multiplayer networking API is fully supported in both GDScript & C#, including custom RPCs for game-specific logic.
- P2P Networking, Zero Setup: GD-Sync connects players P2P through a managed relay, so peer-to-peer sessions work instantly with no NAT punchthrough, router configuration, or dedicated servers to run.
- 100+ Built-in Functions: A comprehensive multiplayer API covering lobby management, synchronization, remote calls, accounts, cloud storage, and leaderboards, all a single function call away.
- Built-in Security: Every connection and every byte of gameplay data is fully encrypted. Remote calls are locked down by default; nothing is callable until you explicitly expose it, and every call is tagged with a server-verified sender ID, so no client can impersonate another.
- Cross-Platform Multiplayer: Built to support multiplayer games and online co-op across PC, Mobile, and Web exports.
- Built-in Multiplayer Nodes:
PropertySynchronizer,NodeInstantiator,SynchronizedRigidBody,SynchronizedAnimationPlayer,SynchronizedAnimationTree,SynchronizedAnimatedSprite2D,SynchronizedAudioStreamPlayer,SynchronizedGPUParticles,VoiceChat. - Advanced Multiplayer Profiler: Monitor network traffic, inspect multiplayer performance, and optimize your game's multiplayer data usage and bandwidth directly within Godot.
- Zero Server Ops: Fully managed multiplayer backend and online infrastructure. No Docker containers, databases, dedicated servers, or server maintenance to worry about.

Was breaking my head over setting up all the infra for getting my game online until I stumbled onto GD-Sync. Wished I would have discovered it sooner cause it would have saved me a lot of time and frustration. Can highly recommend.
This plugin is an absolute lifesaver. I have used GD-Sync in multiple projects and it's crazy powerful and easy to use. I'd highly recommend!
One of the better turnkey multiplayer solutions, cery slick! Very responsive developers on their discord, too.
My go-to for multiplayer
Multiplayer has honestly never been easier. Devs on discord are also very quick to help
Multiplayer can be quite the rabbit hole of networking, relays, syncing, lobbies and all the other “fun” stuff. This stuff let me skip most of that and actually focus on making my game. Easy to use, great customer support and has probably saved both my sanity and my keyboard. Highly recommended, thanks!!
Matchmaking works really well. Great plugin!
Makes multiplayer and managing the online portion of your game effortless and is constantly getting better
I truly could not grasp multiplayer until using this. Can recommend it to anyone.
Honestly, I don't know why anyone would choose another multiplayer library. With a massive active team scaling this up and handling all the complex backend it's a bit of a no brainer that this what what people should be leaning into.
GDSync is honestly one of the best and most convenient multiplayer solutions I’ve tried. Especially having both local and online multiplayer support is just awesome. There’s clearly a ton of work behind this project, but somehow it still feels really simple and intuitive to use. Everything is easy to understand and just works the way you’d expect. The developers are also really helpful and always seem happy to answer questions, help out, and support you when you run into a problem. It’s really nice to see developers who are so involved with their project and community. Really, really cool project. I hope the developers keep working on it and making it even better. Keep it up!
GD-Sync is the first Godot multiplayer solution that actually let me ship online play without drowning in netcode, NAT, or server setup. If networking has been the thing keeping your co-op or online game on the shelf, this plugin is the shortcut I wish I had found sooner.
Easy to set up and use, easy to learn, enables fast multiplayer development, amazing!
Easiest way to get a multiplayer game up and running! Has more flexibility than something like GodotSteam (as in it isn't tied to steam) and is honestly a lot easier to wrap your head around. There are so many built in features that would take ages to set up, and if you run into any issues, they are very nice to talk to on their discord. The free tier has all you need for a small turn based game, or a game you just want to play with your friends. Testing your game doesn't use any data transfer because of the built in local-multiplayer mode, and if you ever need more, the paid plans are not that expensive. I used to think I might never ship a multiplayer game, but thanks to this amazing addon, I am now sure that I will!
Been using it for a while now and it is great. You do eventually have to pay for data usage if you exceed the free limit, the pricing is extremely fair. Way way cheaper than other hosted services.
