Egg Primitive Meshes

Tools for generating egg meshes as primitive meshes, you can use them in place of BoxMesh, SphereMesh, etc.

Current varieties are:

1. Two Radii Egg - defines the shape by the radius of the large and small ends
2. Curve2D Egg - defines the shape by spinning a user-defined Curve2D around an axis
3. Preston et al Egg - defines the shape by parameters listed in the paper Accurately quantifying the shape of birds’ eggs by Biggens, Thompson and Birkhead. Those parameters are: Pointedness, Elongation, Polar asymmetry, and Radius of Larger Circle.
4. Four Coefficients Egg - defines the shape using the formula y = ⁢(c0 + c1 * ⁢x + c2 * x^2 + c3 * x^3 ) ⁢* sqrt(1 − 𝑥^2) This formula also comes from the Biggens et al paper.
5. Preston Egg - defines the shape according to parameters from The shapes of birds' eggs by F. W. Preston. Those parameters are: Elongation, Asymmetry and Bicone.

Since the Preston parameters appear in some ornithological documents, including this will help match measurements of species of birds.

Speckled Egg Shader

Shader to help texture eggs with speckles. Has parameters for colours and adjusting the frequency of speckles near either tip.

Cracked Egg Mesh

Mesh modifier that will display top or bottom half of a source mesh, to enable cracking an egg into two halves.

Boiled Egg Shader

Shader for displaying a bisected egg with visible yolk.

Rolling Curve

Tools to generate and play back rolling curve calculated from dimensions of a mesh.

2D Egg Texture

Procedural 2D texture that displays an egg according to Preston parameters.

Egg Stylebox

Stylebox in the shape of an egg, so Controls can be made egg-shaped. Includes EggStyleBox and AutoAdjustEggStyleBox. EggStyleBox uses the same elongation parameter as Preston, while AutoAdjust will calculate the elongation from the current dimensions of the Control.
