Plan cinematic shots before production

Storyboard Shot Brief Template is a lightweight Godot 4 project for comparing three shot directions against the same fixed constraints. It keeps scene purpose, subject, delivery format, protected visual elements, camera treatment, motion, and likely failure risks visible in one runnable board.

Included

  • A complete Godot 4 project with no plugins or external dependencies.
  • Three side-by-side shot cards for controlled variation.
  • Fixed-constraint fields that prevent reviewers from comparing unrelated ideas.
  • A review checklist for silhouette, brief compliance, landmark stability, and broken text.
  • A selection-evidence field that records why one direction should move forward.
  • MIT-licensed source code and setup notes.

Open the project, replace the sample values in main.gd, and run it at the included 16:9 viewport. Change only one or two variables per shot card so camera, motion, or atmosphere can be evaluated without moving the goalposts.

For teams that want a disposable motion reference before building animation rigs, Muse Video can be used as an optional prompt-led previsualization workspace. Its underlying model is preview-stage, so generated clips should be treated as references rather than game-ready assets.

This template does not generate video, modify assets, or replace in-engine animation, shaders, and camera logic. It documents a decision and helps expose mismatched assumptions early.

Requirements: Godot 4.x. Tested with official Godot 4.7.1 stable on Windows using both editor import and runtime rendering.
