Twenty real sound effects recorded with a microphone: gun handling, shell casings, zaps, props, body sounds and tools. They suit shooters, RPGs, puzzle games and point-and-click adventures.
Included sounds
- Gun handling: rifle cocking, shotgun pump, shotgun shells falling, bullet shell drop on concrete.
- Zaps and fire: taser zap, plasma lighter arc, lighter flick.
- Props: dice roll, door lock, book pages flip, scissors cutting, stick snap, plastic bottle landing, tape pull, sneaker squeaks on a court.
- Body: knuckles cracking, mouth pop, slurp.
- Tools and vehicles: ratchet wrench, an engine that won't start.
Format
WAV files, 48 kHz, 16-bit, trimmed, with peaks at -1 dB and no watermarks. Nineteen files are mono, so they work well with AudioStreamPlayer2D and AudioStreamPlayer3D for sounds that come from a place in the world. Mouth Pop is stereo.
Using them in Godot
The files install into a dailysounds_real_foley_sfx folder, and Godot imports them automatically. Drag a file onto the Stream property of an AudioStreamPlayer (or its 2D or 3D version), or load it in code:
$AudioStreamPlayer3D.stream = preload("res://dailysounds_real_foley_sfx/DailySounds_Door_Lock.wav")
$AudioStreamPlayer3D.play()
For sounds that repeat quickly, such as shell casings, set pitch_scale to a random value between 0.95 and 1.05 before each play() so the repeats don't sound identical.
