horizOn is a backend service for games. This free, open-source GDScript addon connects your Godot project to the horizOn API.
Included features
- Player authentication with anonymous and email accounts
- Multiple leaderboards, player ranks and nearby scores
- Cloud saves, remote configuration, localization and in-game news
- Player profiles, cosmetic unlocks and gift codes
- Validated Actions with server-issued run tickets, input hashes and evidence upload
- Feedback, user logs, crash reporting and transactional email APIs
Get started
- Install the addon and enable horizOn SDK in Project Settings > Plugins.
- Create a project at https://horizon.pm and download its SDK configuration.
- Import the configuration through Project > Tools > horizOn: Import Config.
- Open addons/horizon_sdk/examples/horizon_test_scene.tscn or start with the included feature examples.
Requirements and service
Godot 4.5 or later. An internet connection, a horizOn account and an API key are required for backend features. The SDK is free under the MIT license. The hosted service has separate usage limits and pricing: https://horizon.pm.
