What you get
A complete Godot project. Open Scenes/Demo.tscn, press Play and walk a forest road at dusk. Everything you see is saved in the scene: the geometry, the materials and the placement.
- 96 models, one .glb file each: stone walls, wall tops, wooden fences, a covered bridge, lamps, telegraph poles, signs, benches with a table, boulders and tree trunks.
- 22 materials, all built on one surface shader.
- The demo scene with its terrain, three sheets of ground mist, fireflies and the roadside lamps.
- Nine ready-made groupings where a model already stands together with its neighbours.
- A player with a torch: walking, running, jumping and head bob.
The look
One node with the script psx_look.gd carries the look. It writes the global shader parameters and builds the full screen pass that does the coarse pixel grid, the colour steps, the dot pattern and the grain. The values are constants: this pack ships one finished image, the one the store page was shot with. The simulated pixel measures 4 cm in world space on every surface, terrain included.
Putting it into your own project
Copy the Shaders folder into your project, add a Node and attach psx_look.gd to it. Build your materials on psx_material.gdshader, or copy one of the 22 that ship with the pack and swap its texture.
Technical
Godot 4.7 or newer, Forward+ renderer. Eight shaders: surfaces, terrain, mist, torch beam, fireflies, the sky, the screen pass, and the script that drives them. Textures are never modified on disk - the shader samples them on a coarser grid. Around 63 thousand triangles across the pack. The demo world is built at three times human scale.
Keys in the demo scene: WASD to walk, Shift to run, Space to jump, Esc to release the mouse and a click to take it back.
